Our Defibrillator Fundraiser Reaches Its Goal!

We’re delighted to share that our fundraising campaign has now come to a successful close, raising over £2,700! Thanks to your incredible support, we’ve been able to purchase and install a defibrillator unit. It is now in place—in an unlocked cabinet to the right of the Clubhouse entrance—and is accessible to anyone who may need it.
The additional funds raised will go towards the ongoing maintenance, servicing, and replacement of parts as needed, ensuring the unit remains ready for use.
This initiative began with a heartfelt idea from Pat Macleod in December, following the sudden illness of her late husband John Macleod, our former Chairperson. Her suggestion to fundraise for a defibrillator was warmly embraced, and we are proud to now have it installed and available to the community.
We would like to extend our sincere thanks to Ullapool Harbour Trust, Wester Ross Fisheries, and the Rotary Club of Ullapool for their generous contributions. Special thanks also go to Pat Macleod for her donation of Malt Whisky, which alone raised £750. The winner, William Cowie, was drawn at last week’s Mixed Open event.
Throughout the campaign, we held several successful fundraising events—including a bingo afternoon in February—alongside many generous individual donations collected via the jar at the bar. A big thank you as well to Russell and his team at the Clubhouse for their help and support throughout the process.
